Shaykh Kamil Ahmad graduated from the Faculty of Sharīʿah at the Islamic University of Madinah in 2009. He then completed a postgraduate diploma in Daʿwah from the Faculty of Daʿwah and Uṣūl al-Dīn. Following his studies in Madinah, he pursued a Master’s degree in ʿAqīdah and Contemporary Ideologies at Qassim University, where his research focused on the New Atheist movement and its impact on Muslim communities.
Since 2010, Shaykh Kamil has been teaching with the International Open University, where he currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Master of Arts in Islamic Studies (MAIS) program. He has taught a wide range of subjects in Islamic theology, comparative religion, and contemporary thought, and has delivered lectures and courses to students from around the world.
Shaykh Kamil currently serves as the Resident Imam and Director of Religious Affairs at the Toronto Islamic Centre. Through his teaching, writing, and community work, he is committed to promoting authentic Islamic knowledge, nurturing spiritual growth, and addressing contemporary challenges facing Muslims.
